Waldorf Soccer Club welcomes Nina Duron of Stafford, Virginia, as the Club’s Technical Director. Nina is currently the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) Head Women’s Soccer Coach.
As Technical Director, Nina will be responsible for providing coaching development and education, facilitating tryouts, player evaluations, and team training programs. She will also oversee our PDP night program and be a resource for our all-volunteer recreational coaching staff. She will report directly to the President, Waldorf Soccer Club and will work closely with the VP Travel and our paid staff of Rec Plus and Travel coaches.
Nina brings a wealth of soccer experience as a college-level player, trainer and coach. She was formerly a head coach for Lee Mount Vernon Sports Club. She has more than five years of coaching experience, seven years of experience as a trainer as well as college-level playing experience as a goalkeeper, when she was awarded AWCC Soccer Newcomer of the Year.
Nina holds two diplomas through United Soccer Coaches: Special Topics and Advanced National Goalkeeping. Nina holds a USSF “D” license.
Nina graduated from Brooke Point High School and has an Associate’s degree from Northern Virginia Community College.

Tony Galiano, our Director of Coaching, has stepped down from that position to focus his attention on his young family and his new soccer position at Prince George’s Community College. Tony will stay on with Waldorf Soccer as our Boys U14 EDP Travel coach. The Club will not fill the Director of Coaching position. We wish Tony the best with this new position and thank him for his contributions to Waldorf Soccer Club.
